Impact 7-Aside Soccer Tournament

 

 FIFA Laws of the Game

(Revised for 7-Aside Soccer)

1. THE GAME.
1.1  Field of play is not more than 75m by 55 m, and not less than 70 m by 50 m.

1.2 The surface is grass
1.3  Goal Post measurements are 5m x 2m.

2. THE BALL
   The game ball is to be provided by the Impact 7-Aside Tournament. Ball must comply with FIFA law.

3. NUMBERS OF PLAYERS.
3.1 Each team consists of a 12 player roster, 7 players on the field, 1 of whom is the goalkeeper. A match may not start if either of the teams has fewer than five (5) players. Players must play 3 of the 4 (Competitive) and 2 of the 3 (Fun & Corporate) Round Robin games to be eligible to play in the Final Game.
3.2 Substitutions are made on the go, with players subbing on and off during the game. There is no maximum number of substitutions in a game.
3.3 One female player must be on the field for each team for the duration of each match.


4. PLAYERS’ EQUIPMENT
4.1 To comply with FIFA law.
Each team must be wearing the same color jersey.

5. THE REFEREE
Comply with FIFA Law on duties etc.

6. THE ASSISTANT REFEREES
There will be no assistant referees.

7. THE DURATION OF THE MATCH
7.1 Each Round Robin match lasts for two equal periods of 14 minutes with a half time interval of 3 minutes.
7.3 The Final Game match lasts for two equal periods of 30 minutes with a half time interval of 5 minutes.

7.4 Allowance for time lost complies with FIFA Law.

8. THE START AND RESTART OF PLAY
To comply with FIFA Law except that opposing players must be 7 metres from the ball.

9. THE BALL IN AND OUT OF PLAY
Comply with FIFA Law.

10. THE METHOD OF SCORING
Comply with FIFA Law.

11. OFFSIDE
The Offside Law will NOT apply.

12. FOULS AND MISCONDUCT
12.1 To comply with FIFA Law.

13. FREE KICKS
Comply with FIFA Law except that all opponents must be at least 7 metres from the ball.

14. THE PENALTY KICK
Comply with FIFA Law.

15. THE THROW-IN
 Comply with FIFA Law.

16. THE GOAL KICK
Comply with FIFA Law. Drop kicks are not allowed.

17. THE CORNER KICK
Comply with FIFA Law except that opponent must be at least 7 metres away from the player taking the kick.

18. TEAM COMPETITION
At the start of the tournament a team list shall be submitted. Only players on the team list and approved at the start of the tournament can take part. The team list shall comprise of a maximum of 12 names.

19. COMPETITION FORMAT AND SCORING
Round Robin Format:

19.1 Group matches: The system of play shall be a league system, each team playing one match against each other  in the same group, with points to be awarded as follows: Win 3 points Draw 1 point Loss 0 points
19.2 The rankings of the teams in each group shall be determined as follows:
        -Greatest number of points obtained in all group matches
19.3 If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above criteria, their ranking shall be determined as follows:
        -Greatest number of points obtained in all group matches involving the teams concerned.
        -Goal difference in all the group matches between the teams concerned.
        -Greatest number of goals scored in all the group matches between the teams concerned.
If there is still a draw: a penalty kick competition shall decide the winner. This will follow FIFA rules.
19.4 If two teams are equal on the above criteria after playing in the last game in a group, then a penalty kick competition can take place to get a winner of a group.
19.5 The Referee will determine when the penalty competition will take place. This will follow FIFA rules. Three (3) players, who are eligible to take part, will be nominated from the team list.
19.6 In all competitions, a maximum number of 10 goals scored will be allowed to be counted, for goals scored in any single match.
19.7 Finals: the winning teams will play each other.  This will be determined first by points, then by goal differential. 

20. EXTRA TIME
20.1 In the event of a tie after the final whistle of the Final Game, a penalty kick competition following FIFA rules will determine the winning team.

21. DISCIPLINE
21.1 Any player who receives two (2) cautions (yellow cards) during one game will be red-carded and automatically miss the next game.
21.2 Any player who receives three (3) cautions (yellow cards) over the duration of the tournament will be red-carded and will miss the next game.

21.3 Any player who receives one (1) red card in any one tournament will take no further part in the tournament.
21.3 Cards are carried through all the stages of the tournament.
21.4 The organizing/competition committee has the power to levy further suspensions in cases of misconduct, before and after the game.

21.5 Players receiving red cards will be fined $50, payable to the Competition Manager (Sarah Oostenbrink) and donated to the designated charity at the end of the tournament.
